DIWALI — traditionally known as Deepawali — is the Hindu festival of lights, usually lasting five days and celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika (between October and November). One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.”

Hindus celebrate Diwali to mark the homecoming of Lord Rama after his jubilant victory over demons. Diwali is the largest community festival and celebration of culture & heritage. Diwali is celebrated worldwide by Sikhs, Punjabis, Gujaratis, Jains, Bengalis, Buddhists, Tamils, Nepalis, Sri Lankans, and East Indians.
